Madeira is an island that enjoys its historic homestead. In this region there are large number and diversity of museums: historical, cultural and natural. Many of which presents antiques and modern arts collections very important. We will visit several museums, including the Museum of Natural History, being located in the Palace of São Pedro. In this museum we can find more than 40,000 exhibitions. We can find different types of animal species such as fish, birds, land and marine mammals, marine reptiles, insects, etc. Unforgettable are the exhibitions of plants, rocks and minerals.

Then we will go to the Quinta das Cruzes Museum, one of the most interesting museums of the island, was formerly the home of the former governors of Madeira Island. Continuing our way we go to the Museum of Sacred Art, religious arts museum from Funchal, providing access to beautiful collection of arts, sculptures and accessories. Ordered in chronological order of the XV century to the XIX century. Then we will visit the São Tiago Fort.

Being located in the old town (historical town of Funchal), built in the XVII century with the purpose of defense function from pirates attacks. Here we have the Museum of Contemporary Art, with a giant exhibition of modern art of Portugal.
